Job Description

•The Captain’s main responsible is the safety of its aircraft, crew and passengers in accordance with SOP’s and Operations Manuals.

•Manages the assigned aircraft team, provides pre flight briefings and maintains regular contact throughout the flight as required.

•Develops in coordination of the Flight Dispatcher and Ground Services the flight plan to cover all fuel supply, aircraft weight, weather, route and any alternate destinations.

•Conducts required preparation and pre-flight checks to ensure the flight airworthiness.

•Conducts required coordination with Operations, Mtce, Ground Services, Engineering and Fleet Managers to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the Flight.

•Conducts regular checks on the aircraft’s technical performance, position, weather conditions and air traffic during flight.

•Attends to any emergencies to ensure safety of the flight.

•Ensures all post flight activities are conducted including post flight documentation preparation, incident or problem reporting, Finance related settlements and post flight briefing.

•Maintains valid licenses, instrument ratings, type ratings, visas and legal documents in adherence to Local and international regulations and GCAA requirements.

•Identifies any required changes to SOP’s; provides recommendations to Fleet Mgr.

•Performs duties and responsibilities of Mission Leader when away from base as assigned.

•Complies with all legal requirements by staying abreast of existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.




Essential: Completion of 12th Grade.

Desirable: An aeronautical degree or national equivalent



Essential: Valid ATPL and class 1 Medical

•Passport with ability to add all necessary crew visas

Desirable: NA


Experience & Knowledge:

Essential: Varies - see experience requirements in OMA Section 5

•Accident and violation free flying

Desirable: Previous VIP experience. Previous experience in GCC region. Cross-cultural working



Essential: Fluent in English both verbal and written
